The city attractions include the Altstadt (old town), with its 14th century chruch and old town hall, the flea market (every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.), the shopping precinct, the opera, the zoo, severak museums and the „new“ town hall, whose dome is reached by the only inclined lift in Germany.
Further informations on the city‘s sights can be obtained at the tourist information office, which is located only a short distance from the main railway station.

Despite its proximity to the city centre, the hostel also gives guests the opportunity to get closer to nature. The river Ihme is nearby, as are the beautiful Baroque Gardens of Herrenhausen, which include the unique Rainforest House. hanover Univercity and the Wilhelm Busch Museum are only a short walk from  the Gardens.
